Tip of the month:
It is estimated that thousands of family pets die in drowning incidents each year. Just like children, our pets are at risk for drowning. Pools should be enclosed and gated to keep children and pets from danger. Solar blankets are not a form of protection. They can be deceptive to pets as they look like a solid surface. Consider installing a pet safe ladder or ramp in your backyard pool and teach your pet how to exit. Most importantly, do not leave pets unsupervised near any pools, ponds etc.
Remember - Brantford and surrounding area are in a "geothermic hotspot" for Heartworm. It is much easier to prevent Heartworm disease than it is to treat it. It is not to late to test for Heartworm. Remember to give Heartworm Medication monthly from June 1st up to and including November 1st
